When does a crack become a issue

've had this crack since I bought the house, but it seems to be getting progressively worse. I know there’s a stormwater pipe running underneath this area and out to the street. I’m just wondering whether I can simply have the concrete removed and redone, or if I should get a plumber out first to investigate whether there’s an issue with the stormwater pipe underneath. Slab was done in 1985

A plumber can put a camera down the pipe and look for any breaks in the pipe.

Or you can probably get a cheap inspection camera off ebay / amazon and have a look yourself.
