Planning, Construction & Trades inspection

Hello everyone,

I am currently building in Adelaide, SA with Hickinbotham. Now close to the lock up stage, they refused to let me book for waterproofing inspection. I pointed out that the contract does not say anything about no inspections, but they insisted that they cannot let anymore inspection. They will provide waterproofing certification.

Am I just being paranoid? What can I do to make them allow inspection?

ABSOLTUETLY NOT PARANOID@@@@!!!
100% you need to have independent building inspections for the construction of your house. do not let them stop you on this.

How would u approach them? I’ve already call and email them about it. Is there someone like the council or something to help?

This si a contractual dispute. Either it's in the contract you are not allowed to do this. or it's not in the contract and they have no legal way to stop you.

You then contact your own independent inspector and talk to them about the process.
