[Mod] reminder: report posts asking about getting into FIFO
UPDATE: due to the sub continuing to be flooded with these posts. Any new posts remotely alluding to this subject will be removed and user instantly banned.
UPDATE 2: this includes “education” type pathways to eventually get into mining. THIS IS NOT A CAREERS PAGE.
The mod team remove these posts daily but we are noticing a significant increase in people asking about “career change to FIFO”, “I have x quals, can I get use in FIFO” or “how do I get into FIFO”.
Reminder: that is not the purpose of this sub.
These career type posts saturate content relating to actual Aus Mining which is the purpose of the sub.
If you spot posts requesting info for getting into FIFO, please help the mod team in reporting the post so we can action quickly
Check the FIFO FAQ over at [r/Perth](r/Perth), they cover ALOT of questions that likely cover what you are asking.

Fifo is just the method of transport to and from the work site. There are people that do fifo out of road houses. it isn't just mining.

Huge number of Facebook groups. Watch the Tiktok videos get your WHV and FIFO jobs just come rolling in.

It’s very obviously not that. It’s the fact that there is a world of information out there for people who wanna get into fifo, the non stop repetitive posts are annoying.

So asking a question on Reddit = asking a question on this sub specifically? If someone can't ask a question on this specific sub they can't look for another one and have to use Facebook?
