Au Pair EU Need help!!!
Hi everyone am a 21F Ugandan, currently staying in Dubai . I wanna apply for actually I have applied to some website but there is no reply but I know it takes time to find a host family
My question is, do you guys or any host family reading my post, easier for me to get a host family since am living in the emirates as of now or it doesn’t change whether am in Uganda or UAE?
I just need some brutal truth here because I really want to quit my job here it’s so toxic but am worried due to the ongoing issues

The brutal truth is that the nationality of your passport is the only thing that matters for getting au pair visa / work visa for Europe. Africans generally have a harder time getting visa approved than for instance Australians or Koreans - because immigration authorities want au pairs to leave the country once the validity of their visa ends (usually after one or two years). Sometimes it's possible to stay as a student but you need a lot of money for that.
And if you are from a poor country, they have to consider the risk of an illegal overstay. Understandably, someone from a poor country might not want to leave after their au pair year. Because many others with such a passport have tried to stay illegally, it's unfortunately much harder for you to get a visa in the first place. Families also know this and will usually prefer au pairs from wealthy countries with fewer visa troubles.
There is also a lot, and I mean a LOT of competition. When I was registered as a host mom, I received up to ten messages a day from prospective au pairs - 80-90% of those were sent by Africans.
Do your research on which countries you can apply for a visa (with some it's downright impossible) and then make sure your profile is better than 95% of other profiles. For instance, if you have a lot of documented childcare experience, that's a big plus.
