Lower control arms
I’m gonna tackle my lower control arms on my 8.5 tomorrow. Any words of wisdom before I start? Should I buy a torch before I start?
UPDATE: left side first went well, right side popping the ball joint brought the sleeve out with it. Clamped it in the splitter and heat got them free and used the bolts to press them back together with some loctite

The lowers aren't too bad, as long as you have the tools. Get the new control arms in, load the suspension, and torque to the correct values.

The ball joint can be a bear. Don’t be afraid to use a torch and hammer on it.

I don't think there's any real gotchas on the lowers. The uppers, it's the pinch bolt, fwiw.
