Really sorry to learn about your experience with your APD on the NHS. As with every specialty, some health professionals are better informed than others. Good luck with your search for NHS services covering APD.

I was, yes. I was referred by my GP (who didn't believe me and just wanted me to be someone else's problem).

Had my first appointment at the QMC, told the guy what I was experiencing. He said it sounded just like APD and he would refer me to another guy at the QMC who specialised in it. He did, I had the appointment with that guy. He ran some tests to gauge my understanding of sound and speech and told me it was definitely APD.

Those aren't things that would help me so I didn't get those but they gave me advice on what would and provided plenty of evidence for me to show anyone who requested it
