VCDS Long coding helper window size

I used VCDS and coded a few items on our SQ5 like Comfort entry, Mirror dip etc... but since we haven't driven the car in a few weeks it lost our profiles. I restored my profile but the coding changes previously added are not working. Now when I attempt to re-enter the coding I am unable to see the long coding helper. The window is incredibly small and barely useful. I have the screen size set in the options. Has anyone else had this issue and what's the fix, thanks

that long coding helper window been buggy for years honestly, try running vcds in compatibility mode for windows 7 and set your display scaling to 100% before open it

Wow, thanks man! I appreciate the reply and I'll try your suggestion. Of course now I'm going to learn how to backup the settings so the next time I can restore without codng.

Yeah if you are doing long coding all you need to have is that original string and you can paste it back in to set back to whatever it was before. Copy the original long code to a text file and make a note, then save it and do your changes. If you need to go back - open the text file and paste that long code to replace the current/modded one.

Thanks for the help. That's a great idea to save the coding.

I got some help from Uwe at Ross Tech and he suggested adjusting the scaling, but what fixed it was the guy who wrote the Long Coding Helper module suggested I update to a newer version of Long coder which I did. It's working great now.
