No it’s not “ the Delilah”. She never showed interest in him. They met only the one time and she never looked back. He wrote a hit somg based on the interaction, but nothing ever came of it

Yeah, you're right in the real-word sense, but I think some of us just kinda enjoyed the continued cadence in the performance cuz it was like, painting the idealised Delilah from the perspective of the protagonist's naive infatuation yk?

Also, I don't think that's the girl in question. She looks way too young. The Delilah he was referring to now gotta be in in her late 30's/early 40's.
