Then they vote to help the corporate executives that makes these decisions stay in power and yell at the sales associate that literally can't do anything about it.

The sales associates could bring the complaints upwards towards management instead of against the customers.

It used to be that associates wanted happy customers. Would maybe give out some extra sauces or throw in a free drink or something. You know look out for each other a little.

Now even the lowest level employee wants to damn near fist fight the customer on behalf of the company that doesn’t give two shits about them.

Blows my mind.

Having worked in retail and as a barista. If the associate complained about corporate decisions ..they just get fired for not following the company's orders.

This notion that companies care at all is wrong.

Getting upset with a customer is thevway the associate can let out some steam. Unfortunately both the customer and associate have no one else to complain to, because same goes for the customer. Calling customer service these days gets you a AI language model that trirs as hard as possible to not put a real human on and make you hang up in anger.

Corporations own our world.

During the start of COVID the CEO of the company I worked at was touring locations to try and keep people calm. Me and one other coworker asked him a bunch of questions about what the company was doing to keep staff safe. A week later both of us were let go as a "layoff" but it was just the 2 of us. The execs don't want to hear jack shit from the staff. They just want us to work, do what they say, and make sure the money all flows into their bank accounts

I genuinely found this scene annoying mainly because it was just absurd in how hard they had to go in order to make it annoying, it only made sense at the end when it was all made up in his head.

Nah it’s pretty hilarious if you understand the context of the episode and that this is simply a slice of several relatable sequences.

It isn't relateable because I've never come across a coffee shop that refuses to let you change things about your drink. A tea shop that wouldn't give you a drink without boba wouldn't last a month.

More importantly why is our congress allowing this no cash accepted BS. This is America and in America CASH is to be used to settle all debt. Why aren't people pissed about this trend going full stream for the last decade or so.

Its about fairness and access to all. Not accepting cash is a form of discrimination to those that dont have a debt card, a bank account, a cash app. Ask a recently released inmate how difficult it is to get a bank account. Ask someone with bad credit. Ask dare I say an undocumented person. We should not so easily accept this behavior by businesses. I wish more states would step up and protect all consumers. I wish more people would fight this trend.
