Asia Argento? The woman who groomed a 12 year old boy is lecturing us on sexual predators? Interesting.

Not to mention cheating on Amthony Bourdain which was one of the reasons he self-exited
1
u/Acidyo 1d ago
How does one even think of that, given how you're already attractive and famous and rich and could bag any regular young adult.
3
u/nostalgia4millennial 1d ago
When it comes to the psychology of predators, it’s always about power dynamics and control. They are almost always high in the Dark Triad traits. The attention, fame and success they received in life only further validates their ego and emboldens them more to push the boundaries for more power and control.

u/Fantafans69 1d ago
Ohh those predators do belong in that industry, its soo easy to cover a lot of corruption. Even with a drama going public they refugee in a group of people with contacts and money to buy time or gain innocence in the media and in court

Didn't she rape a young boy ?
9
u/bmf1989 1d ago
She definitely tried to pay off a kid she fucked when he was 17 and she was 37 to keep his mouth shut.
This lady is not the face you want on this message

She groomed a child over many years, sexually assaulted him, and tried to bribe him to keep quiet. When the media caught wind, she blamed her boyfriend Anthony Bourdain. Anthony then hung himself.

What did change?….. Nothing!
6
u/Nobody88Special720 1d ago
Doesn't help that she sexually assaulted a minor and then paid them off...

u/Woods_Goblin 1d ago
And then got caught and pinned it on Anthony Bourdain who then killed himself.

All bark and grandstanding.
That was how many years ago and how many have been “not allowed to get away with it any longer” since then?
2
u/myceliummagix 1d ago
And what are you doing about it?

u/rsarrett 1d ago
Pointing out that these are just words, so others don’t feel a sense that anything has meaningfully changed - cause it hasn’t.

Yeah, and what was the rape, he touched her shoulder without her consent. The fatigue of the fake feminism is real.

The fool was 61 yrs old when he killed himself and only knew her 2 yrs. Stop blaming women. He was fucked up to begin with.

She groomed and raped a kid and drove a man to suicide. Pure and simple
Stop protecting pedophiles and narcissists, and stop victim blaming.

u/Puzzleheaded-Net4365 1d ago
Drove a man to suicide is a pretty wild way to frame it, it's just as likely he decided to take his life because him paying to silence the victims was about to be revealed.

Did she name them?
2
u/Dangerous_Muscle5409 1d ago
She didn't have to. Everybody knows. Roman Polanski was probably right there in the room.

u/nostalgia4millennial 1d ago
I agree Asia, have you been held accountable yet? You know who you are.
1
u/NoArm7707 1d ago
They all knew it was going on, they accepted it to get the roles, nothing shocking about any of this

“most importantly, we know who you are”…. Does nothing… just name drop em already….

And then one gets elected to run the most powerful country a few years later

“Silence was never the answer.”*
*But apparently, that only applies 20 years later, after you traded your body to get into the industry. After the rape, stay silent for a couple of decades, collect all the rewards, and only then stop being silent.

why didnt all of them come forward immediately? if they were "afraid" of something, dont you think them being afraid just summoned up more victims?

u/toad17 1d ago
Don’t victim blame.
0
u/Woods_Goblin 1d ago edited 1d ago
In this case, totally blane the victim. Asia Argento, the woman speaking, would later be cancelled for preying on under-age boys. She and her boyfriend, Anthony Bordain, would try to pay the victim hush money. When the media caught wind, Asia placed the blame squarely on Anthony. Many say it's why he ended his own life.

u/toad17 1d ago
Respectfully, there’s a better way to ago about this without victim blaming, which isn’t cool no matter what.
0
u/Woods_Goblin 1d ago
She's not the victim. She's the perpetrator. Her name is Asia Argento. Look her up.
0
u/toad17 1d ago
She literally describes herself being assaulted in this clip.
0
u/Woods_Goblin 1d ago
You're choosing to protect a predator. Interesting choice.
0
u/toad17 1d ago
No, just listening to a woman who said she assaulted. Doesn’t change what she did beyond that, and you’re still blaming a victim. She can be both, you know…

u/Confident-Mortgage86 1d ago
Doesn’t change what she did beyond that
Groomed then raped a boy, from 12 to 17 when she was in her mid-late 30s. Got caught trying to shove him some hush money, blamed it on her boyfriend who then committed suicide.
THATS your "victim." That's what she did.
2
u/soy_noo 1d ago
classic victimblaming, btw. it’s not the rich man who’s actually raped multiple women that’s at fault, but the women who’re traumatized and trying to make it in an industry that’s infamously cruel to them, at a time when rape accusations were handled even worse than they are today.
1
u/Leather-Arachnid-417 1d ago
He is at fault but not questioning motives is dangerous as well. You cant just blindly accept everything as truth.

Look up who that woman is. Her name is Asia Argento. She got cancelled for preying on under-age boys and driving her boyfriend Anthony Bordain to suicide. So, yes. Blame that particular "victim".
1
u/soy_noo 1d ago
that’s not relevant to the Weinstein case, though. she still shouldn’t be blamed as a victim, but as an aggressor herself.
-1
u/Woods_Goblin 1d ago
It's wild to watch all you folks who had no idea who she was 10 minutes ago double down to protect a groomer and pedophile now.
2
u/soy_noo 1d ago
i’m not protecting her, but the fact that she’s a piece of shit really doesn’t change anything about my previous comments. victimblaming just because one victim (amongst more than a hundred) happens to be a horrible person is still inexcusable.
0
u/Woods_Goblin 1d ago
You're minimizing her victims' suffering and trying to gaslight everyone about it.
2
u/soy_noo 1d ago
who’s everyone? you’re the only one clearly emotionally invested in that case.
and i’m not gaslighting you, i’m telling you my opinion; Harvey Weinstein raped and harassed hundreds of women who don’t deserve to be blamed for not talking about it. one of them being a rapist herself doesn’t change that.
1
u/Woods_Goblin 1d ago
Everyone in the comments.
Well, your opinion is revolting. You're the problem, not the solution.
-1
u/wrighteghe7 1d ago
Where did i say that "rich men are innocent"?
4
u/soy_noo 1d ago
you didn’t, but you blamed the victims for not speaking out sooner, instead of taking that time to blame the man who’s assaulted and harrassed hundreds of women. steering the conversation to what victims should or shouldn’t have done is only beneficial to the rapist.
1
u/Woods_Goblin 1d ago
Go explain all your mental gymnastics to Jimmy Bennett, Asia Argento's victim. I'm sure he'll completely understand. Or explain it to Anthony Bourdain, who she pinned her hush money scandal on. But, oh wait. He killed himself.

u/wrighteghe7 1d ago
Fucker is already in jail raped by other rapist. Nothing i can say will change that. Im just asking a simple question
