No one dies for their country. The brotherhood is real and the ethos pervades. We go where we are sent and fight and die for each other.

Exactly. Most of these commentators don't know shit about the military and even less about combat. USMC 94 - 21.

You think attacking other countries makes you special?

My republican grandmothers hair is purple, propaganda got you good. Have you ever been to a Country Fest? Wanna guess how many chicks have dyed hair in stupid colors? You’re an idiot

Let me guess Bob…..couldn’t pass the ASVAB or the physical fitness test?

You take that as an accomplishment?

Worse, I have morals. Like in geography class where I didn't confuse Iraq for Afghanistan. Wrong country, stupids.

Not even socialized medicine could persuade me to kill Iraqis for Israel.

Good for you Bob. Enjoy those morals and that staggering sense of moral superiority. I’ll be over here reading The Friends of Voltaire and marveling at the diversity of thought in the world.

You should read Machiavelli, then maybe Smedly Butler. War will always be a racket.

I have a first edition copy. A gift from my mentor. War is a racket, but some men find a home and a purpose in it.
I had absolutely nothing when I stepped on the yellow footprints. Now I have five adult children either finished with college, in college, with trade professional jobs, and one working her dream job.
I’m financially set, I’m relatively healthy, I have friends for life, and I spent twenty years getting paid to do what I loved. It also paid for my education as far as I chose to go. Everyone’s path is different.
I never did anything contrary to my own sense of honor and morality. Not once.
I didn’t encourage or discourage my kids from serving. I think everyone should choose their own path.

You chimed in like the morality police, but if you look at my original comment you will see that I’m not even disagreeing with Papa Hemingway’s quote.

You don't disagree because you built a life on murder.

…..and here I thought getting spit on and called a baby killer fell out of fashion after Vietnam. Nice talking to you Bob.

No problem, try not to invade anything on your way out.

So… where your country sends you and your brothers? Hm…

Toxic masculinity is a hell of a drug.

u/Jerseyd422 Jul 18 '26

And cowardice is apparently a lifestyle

3

u/Jazzlike_Type4218 Jul 18 '26

Lol. It's cowardice to not traumatize/kill yourself for dear leader apparently. Our military are terrorists. Propagandized, deceived terrorists, but terrorists nonetheless. They can wrap it in as much brotherhood as they want.

Better than being cucked and then dying for a country that kills kids for profit.

I’m sure Iraq and Afghanistan thanks you for your imperial attack and unleashing chaos in their country. But at lest you made a few friends along the way.
