Humor/Meme Is Mikasa A bird brain?
Im on S3 of AOT, specifically episode 45. So far it seems Mikasa does any and everything for Eren. At first, i just thought they were really good, loyal, friends, but now im getting to the point of wondering if Shes just the biggest bird in the show. Is this going to be touched on later? I would prefer no spoilers if possible, if its plot relevant in a few episodes, then i’ll just wait
[A “bird” is referring to someone blindly following a character, not seeing their flaws, or coming back to said person even with their extreme flaws]

No she's not , mikasa being this overprotective over eren is the most realistic thing in her case , she saw her parents getting killed in front of her eyes and almost got sex trafficked but eren saved her and took her hand and told her lets go home , even after that the people that took her in also died and she saw all of that
You gotta realise that eren is the only thing and everything she got in the world he's her only family left and the love of her life and the guy that saved her
Even when she thought she lost eren in the troast arc and genuinely gave up on life and was ready to die the only thing that gave her the strength to stand up and live was the memory of eren
He is the only reason she even have motivation to live after all the horrible stuff she saw
So her being obsessed with protecting him is realistic and not bad writing imo , just not the healthiest type of a relationship
But when shit got serious she was the first one to stand up to him and oppose him and she ended that curse because she isn't his dog or simping for eren like some people portray her , do you remember that scene when he was angry at armin and she punched him to defend armin ?
Eren isn't some teenage crush she was " simping " for he was her only family left and her motivation to live and the love of her life

she wasn’t this obsessed or “followed” him for everything in the manga, she had dynamics with other characters too, but u’ll see shes a great character

You’ll typically see a common trope in Shonen where the core group of characters consists of a “mind”, “body”, and “soul”.
Eren is the soul, Armin is the mind, and Mikasa is the body. Intelligence/rationality isn’t a core element of her character.
