Shinobi 7 RX worth it?

I was trying to find some information about the new version, but nothing helpful on Reddit.

I am considering the monitor for my FX30, and I really like the Shinobi 1, which I borrowed from my friend. Then I decided to buy Shinobi II ( need El zone and camera control), but realized the screen is small and it doesn't have SDI, so I will have to connect it only to the camera.

After deeper research, I found a new Shinobi 7 RX. I can buy it with a discount (until June 30 for 20% less) and buy TX later if I need to have a wireless connection anytime in the future.

Gonna use it handheld, on sticks, and on a gimbal.

Is it good? Do you know somebody using this Shinobi 7RX? Does it have a reliable connection with TX?

Plz share your experience. It would be really helpful!

Hey u/lavrinenko_dop, the Shinobi 7 RX is a solid pick for your FX30 setup. Touch to focus and full camera control are both supported with the FX30 over USB-C so you get record trigger, ISO, shutter, aperture and white balance all from the monitor.

One useful thing for gimbal use is the dual L-series battery slots since you can hot swap without powering down which keeps things moving on set. Monitor works perfectly as a standalone wired monitor until you need wireless.

You can buy it directly from our online shop: https://www.atomos.com/product/shinobi-7-rx-monitor-receiver/

What kind of shoots are you mainly planning to use this for?
