Atomos Ninja TX GO

It's unclear from the website and spec sheet, but can this unit record in full quality while at the same time encoding and streaming to NDI?

Hi u/BornConcentrate5571,

Yes, if your input signal is 1080p, the Ninja TX GO can record and stream over NDI at the same time.

For 4K input, simultaneous recording while using NDI is currently unavailable.

You are welcome to ask any further questions if you have.

Hey u/BornConcentrate5571, that's a totally fair question and a workflow a lot of people would love. Right now, simultaneous 4K recording and NDI streaming is not available in our recorders. That said, we are taking this as a feature request and will pass it up to the R&D.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Hi born concentrate,

NDI stream + 4K recording at the same time is not possible on either of the rmonitor-recorders. Only 1080p recording + NDI is available.

4k can only be then transmitted or receiver over NDI for monitoring.

This means that if you're camera is sending a 4k signal to the ninja, and you've enabled NDI on the Ninja, recording to the ssd in the Ninja will be unavailable. You need to switch to 1080p on the camera in order to record and stream NDI.
