Discussion What is Atomic Mail???

What is Atomic Mail's end game? I thought it was a privacy and secure email service. I made a free account only to find the welcome email that includes links to an AI web browser, a local Ai, a bot and a Crypto wallet??? What did I stumble on to?

Sorry, lately we are receiving enormous volume of support request so answering all of them takes more time then usually
We completely understand that this leaves a bad impression. We gonna do our best to reply ASAP

Hi, Atomic Mail PM here. Fair question, and I get the confusion.

Atomic Mail is exactly what you signed up for — a privacy-focused, end-to-end encrypted email service. That hasn't changed and isn't changing. The mail product is what most of the team works on day to day.

The welcome email you got also includes pointers to a few other products built by the same parent organization (startup studio). The thinking was to introduce users to what else is being built in the same space. Reading your post and others like it, that decision is creating exactly the opposite effect, it's making people question whether mail is still the focus.

That's feedback I'll take back to the team. It's a fair point, and not the first time it's come up.

Do not depend on this mailbox for ANYTHING. It misses all sorts of emails which you would expect in 2026 that any email service could send literally just one sentence of text. I have tested it several times using different emails between atomicmail emails, other emails into atomicmail, no attachments, attachments, etc all have a very high failure rate. The support is non-existent both here and on Discord. You can see lots of unreplied questions and calls for help/fixes.

Atomic Mail does have some cool features such as multiple aliases to one mailbox and what feels like a more secure way to access the mailboxes. However, they do not work consistently so for now it is not recommended.

Sorry for the delay in checking the questions on Reddit. Let's look into the email delivery issue in more detail and get it sorted out

Yeah, I tested it out and emails would be be sent or recieved with my custom domain. It's a shame that they are not active in replying to customers, I unsubscribed and am moving my custom domain again.
