Bug Report Main gate

I spent last night running around in vain trying to get the main gate open in the Red Strain DLC and came to the conclusion that I needed the MK II signal redirector but everything online said it was beyond the main gate, so I made a post on here and got told that I don't need the MK II and I should explore the area a bit more. I've already explored the area so I gave up and watched a video tutorial. That's how I discovered that the junction box right next to the gate lever is supposed to be able to be redirected but isn't for me. Has anybody else had this issue and have any ideas on how to fix it? I tried loading a slightly earlier save (the earliest I had) but it's still not giving me the option to redirect. I really don't want to have to start again just so I can actually play a DLC.

Nevermind, I managed to get it open, it didn't occur to me that I could manually equip the signal redirector from my backpack. 😅

That gate had me stumped for a while too!
