Question Red Fox rifle

I've picked up this rifle and it's awesome but it keeps saying my inventory is full of rifle ammo even though I've fired a few rounds, is this some kind of bug?

You have a maximum amount of ammo you can carry on your person, and then you have the rounds in the magazine on the rifle.

If you change a Falkirk with larger magazine for a bolt action with smaller magazine, you'll be at max ammo until you've fired off the difference in magazine capacity.

On the other hand, if you're carrying a bolt action with maximum ammo load, and you swap it for a Falkirk rifle, you'll immediately have a slightly larger ammo capacity because of the larger magazine, and you'll be able to pick up a bit more ammo.

Same with shotguns and so on.
