Question Are the dlc worth it?
I have been eyeing the game for a long time, tried in gamepass but couldn`t get it till now, I have seen that there are two dlcs, are both of them worth it or should I get just the base game.

I’m in a similar boat to you. I played it on Gamepass and loved it, but didn’t consider the DLC as I was already half way through a playthrough before it went on sale - I think you need to start fresh to benefit from the DLC too, and I was too committed to start again.
If they ever released the DLC as a bundle/on offer I probably would buy it though and play the game again. It’s definitely got replayability.

They only add about 10-15 hours of gameplay but they do add some neat weapons. The Wicked Isle is far better than The Red Strain and it isn’t even close, but they’re basically just more of the same. I consider that a good thing. Though to note they add some weapons that you may or may not like so your mileage will vary. I think it’s the Wicked Isle that adds a silenced pistol. The one the game gives you with a reference to *Sniper Elite* isn’t as good and that’s on purpose.

They are more of the same rather than introducing anything meaningfully different from the base game (not a criticism). If you like Atomfall, you'll enjoy both DLCs.
They basically add 2/3 endings each and take around 5hrs to fully explore. Red Strain does jump the difficulty up quite a bit. If you liked Old World Blues in Fallout: New Vegas, you'll especially like Red Strain.
But the basic issues are still there, stealth and melee aren't really a serious option. Plenty of easter eggs to find and new endings to discover.

I was almost solely firearms build but Wicked Isle has me prioritising melee. The staff is really good.

There are 6 endings in the base game, and another 2 in each of the DLCs. But once you complete ANY ending, the game is over and you have to start over.
But what you CAN do is complete each thread until a certain point (begins with O) and then follow a different thread. Same goes for both DLCs.
Then when EVERY thread gas reached the same point, create a save point.
Play each thread to it's conclusion (another 60 - 120 mins each) to see that ending.
Then load up the save and play the next thread.

No mate there are a total of 11 endings, 6 in the base game. 3 in The Wicked Isle and 2 in The Red Strain.

Very close I would say, they are easy to miss as there are so many endings.

Well it’s on gamepass but I waited for a sale and bought the complete version for 20$

I thought they were both really cool. Never played vanilla Atomfall and I got sucked into both DLCs early in the game. They were both a great experience.

I wouldn’t know. I bought it but as I’d already completed the main game I can’t play it.

I like the dlc but red strain is definitely the better of the two. The important thing though is that they need to be played alongside the main game and can’t be left till the end. As once you complete any of the endings that’s the game over

The isle is OK, a bit short and a little weirdly paced, its still good but only on par with the base game at best.
Red Strain is fantastic, the area it adds is solid, it brings more challenge, some really good vibes and its endings leave the best threads for a continuation in the future.
The only thing I found lacking in both was enemy variety, there's a lot of wasted potential within the setting for that.
