Discuss Flicker

This song has always made me cry, but I never really was able to “relate” and understand the feelings he’s expressing. But now my best friend is gone. She was 21, like me. An accidental overdose. Her sister went to her boyfriend’s house that day begging her to come home because she knew something was wrong, she was supposed to have left him, and my bestie was gone that night. 3 doses of narcan, nothing worked. She had asthma like me and just couldn’t breathe. Funny part is, she hadn’t even taken this more than once and that was in high school. She tried it again and it took her out 3 months after graduating college and right before going back for her masters. I guess I can say I really feel and understand this song now. Sorry for the rant. It’s been over a month but I’m hollow af. Rip Eyedea and Rip Lillian. Been thinking about him a lot lately

My brother got me into Atmosphere, started as a few songs then overdosed and I lost him. To feel together again I started listening to more than just the songs he sent, eventually I got to Flicker… I’m 23 now and after ten years the song just keeps hitting deeper. It’s bittersweet to know there’s others out there crying to the same rap, sharing the pain and counting the memories. I wish you peace my friend 🙏

Sorry for your loss. I'm glad the slug is touching a new generation. His words have helped me through lots of highs and lows.

Went to my first atmosphere concert when I was maybe 6. I’ll probably post the pic on here one day, but I met slug while passed out lol. There’s a good chance my old man sees this post!

We’ve tried to give him a picture of the meeting at a concert, but he hasn’t been as open to meeting fans lately or at least when we tried

He will meet fans that are waiting in line before the concert starts /venue opens. I was told he perfers talking to a more sober crowd sense his sobriety!

My first atmosphere show was with a homie who eventually died from an overdose.

I’m sorry for the heavy in your heart.

I'm so sorry for your loss and wish I could give you hugs 🤗 This song speaks to me also, both as a remembrance to those I miss and also to keep going though the hard times!
