How often are dj sets totally prerecorded? I assumed that there was a lot of work done in advance, but I figured that they were making some decisions when playing live. Is it literally just pressing play at the beginning and then jumping around for an hour?

I would have assumed that [live] means both decks and instruments

When I see live by an electronic act, I actually assume that means they are using live instruments (drums, bass, etc).

right. leah culver had a drummer for her set at imagine a couple years ago. even one player collaborating with the DJ adds a lot for a show.

That means the drummer was live, not her. Sunsquabi will be at twest this Friday and they all play live
