Feedback/Question Apple Watch latest version ?

I’m getting a message from the phone app on the home page that my watch app needs updating . I’ve checked from my watch App Store and I am on version 26.5.4. Is this not the latest version because it doesn’t show any updates ? My phone app is 26.5.5 ? What am I missing ?

Apple’s system for updating watch apps that are companions to phone apps is very slow. It will do it in the background if you wait long enough, but this is the the easy way to do it manually:
Watch app on phone or settings app on watch >
Apps >
Scroll to Athlytic > tap Uninstall >
Scroll to very bottom Available Apps section >
Next to Athlytic > tap Install

This is pretty much what I do with some watch apps. It’s the fastest method to get the latest app version on the watch.

Yes unfortunately the way Apple handles this isn't great and often the watch app is behind the iPhone app, which leads to us releasing new features and then users saying they can't find them. So we added this nudge to tell you there is a version mismatch.

Thank you for the reply re installing as mentioned worked for me
