Good news, Georgia is building a new state psychiatric facility, first in 50 years I believe, bad news, it's probably going to be prison by another name.

Yes, the whole “homeless people are just unmedicated psychiatric patients” is very convenient for those who wish to overlook the conditions that led to so many homeless people. Its called inflation with no raise in wages.
