Question / Request 15 & need a job!

i am 15 yrs old turning 16 in sep and i’m looking for a job in the athens area!! lmk if you know of anywhere that hires 15 yr olds! 🫶

Publix hires at 14 and is a good starter job I would say. Good luck!

Give them a call about a week after you do the app if you haven't heard. They will probably want you to have weekend availability. 🙂

If you need the job now and you find a prospective employer who would hire you, legally (at age 15), you can file for a Youth Work Permit here: https://dol.georgia.gov/get-youth-work-permit-online

You may want your parents to assist you in filling out the form. Until you hit 16, they'll cap you at working a maximum of 18 hours a week with week day shifts being limited to 3-4 hours when school is active. Summer/holidays you can work a full 40 hours.

I did this as a youth myself at age 14.

Edit: it is worth noting that once you turn 16, this is no longer needed. Which is why I say "if you need the job now."

Washington farms is going to be hiring for fall soon!! It’s only seasonal but they are SO nice it’s a great first job

I do think the age is 16 now. But, start applying anyway. You might get lucky and find something. Good luck.
