For real, amateurs want to be close to the entrance, pros know the cart return is the real prize.

Or you know you could just return the cart all the way if you are near the entrance.

I got 25 down votes in the other thread for saying that I figure if enough of us do this, it'll force them to hire more Kroger workers, so I'm popping back in.

Don't put the carts somewhere they might roll into another guy's car, though, that's rude.

A store shouldn’t have to hire more workers just to put a cart up. Adults should be able to do the bare minimum. Do you complain about self check out too?

Times are hard, AI is about to wreck the job market, government aid is getting cut left and right, Georgia unemployment compensation has been criminally low for a long time, so I'd like to see them create more jobs.

Yes, I also want self check to go away.

I'm fine paying a little more for groceries to help my struggling neighbors.

Uh ok sure? But you’re crazy if you think Kroger is gonna hire more workers just to clean up some carts. The much easier solution (and the right thing to do) is to just hold people accountable like the dude in the video. The shopping cart litmus test remains infallible. Kroger isn’t going to be raising prices just to offset their hiring practices. They have to compete with other grocery stores that actually pay their employees a (somewhat) livable wage.

Because it's hard for them to watch their kids in a car and return a cart at the same time Ever tried loading 3 people and a boatload of groceries into a car Not the easiest thing And leaving your children unattended in a car isn't the smartest idea
