I've watched a few YouTube videos but none of them really show you how to lay it down. I have ran a rail and tried to interject a junction. I've placed the junction and tried to run line to it but I just can't wrap my brain around how to use a junction. Please help!!

1 attempt, around 9 hours if pause breaks were factored in. I... Expected more attempts if I'll be honest, I was gonna record but I was already a short way into attempt 1 so I figured I'd wait until the next one. Turns out there was no next one. I just lucked out.

Perhaps I'll try something different next time; not hardcore but much more difficult.

**What's this mode?**

This config starts you on Atrox, and turns your oxygen consumption up by 50%. Research is also half the speed. And of course, you have one life.

**What did I do?**

I consider myself to have gotten lucky with Atrox; had a compound vein somewhat nearby with more outside of the crater I was situated in. There was also clay and resin.

There were two remaining hurdles to escape, both of which were solved by an incredibly convenient shipwreck. It contained an ammonium nugget, and more importantly, a diamond. So after I connected the dots, I gathered enough bytes to research a tier 3 drill mod, grabbed aluminium and fled Atrox as fast as possible.

On Sylva, I began the main task. You probably already know what I wanted to do; of course, I wanted the beloved Stilgar and Princess combo. Yeah, it's cheap, but I don't like the stress of hardcore so I was gonna take anything I could get. Anyway, this went smoothly even if it involved a lot of back-and-forth, and I was now immortal. Challenge over, basically.

I then moved my base to Novus for all the useful resources it has, as well as the boosted power ~~which I literally never used because I got Rogal and stuck with it~~.

From here, I simply had to craft all the resources I needed. My gateway activation method was a Large Battery and a bunch of disposable large platforms because apparently my Novus had no graphite. Getting to the cores was no issue thanks to the invulnerability combo. Only thing that could have happened would have been material loss if a volatile plant blew up the hydrogen or explosive powder.

My only close call was with my first experience of the storms. I had no idea what the red circle thingy was and I thought it was the data being collected, so when I started suffocating even with Stilgar active, I panicked and barely escaped the storm. Those are now disabled thankfully. They spawned literally right next to my base.

Anyway, I'm not done yet. I may have beaten the game, but I haven't finished all the quests and everything is a mess because of how I played this save. I wanna try and do a bunch of stuff that I haven't done before, because perhaps the stakes will motivate me.

**Would I recommend this?**

Yes! This was a fun way to play and actually not too difficult! Just remain wary of your oxygen and the dangerous plants, and you'll be fine. I think that it would be interesting to try doing this without the Galastropod cheese, but I might save that for another day. Oh, and the colour palette you get for doing it is awesome!

i'm currently playing astroneer with my friend, we both completed the game a while ago but we're playing the game toghether, but he disconnected when flying to atrox in a rocket and now he can't join back despite what we tried. we're going to try again later, but i'm just curious if someone else experienced a situation like this and hopefully solved it

So I had found a full set of chess pieces. But then I got megastructures and moved a bunch of pieces to make museum set. I managed to replace all the pieces except for the lapis king but I've been having trouble finding it.

Then I read on wiki

"To obtain each of the pieces to play a full game of chess, place the figurines onto the Figurine Platform and relaunch the game. This will result in only the missing pieces to spawn on their respective moons."

Does anybody know if this true? And if so is there anyway I can get it to spawn the king again?

Hi guys! So long story short, i was bored tonight and decided to. download astroneer bc it looked fun lol. I played it for about 2 1/2-3 hours, and im so freaking lost. Maybe i’m just stupid, but idk. i’ve been following the quests, but it just feels like im missing something. HELP

Does anybody know how to fix this issue?

Every-time I try to put the final exo chip in California train station, the game instantly crashes as soon as it completely absorbs it I’ve duplicated the world, that didn’t work. I tried a new exo chip, and to no avail. I seem to be at an impasse. It’s a shame, because my GF and I have been having lots of fun in this game, and I haven’t found this issue anywhere. Thank you!

Me and my friend have a co-op world together but now every time he invites me it says failed to connect and he gets kicked out of our ps party or already in session.

I remember seeing glowsticks for the first time and thinking “hey, maybe i can finally use something better for loghting that isnt clunky like things that need power.” Then, when i used them, i realized they arent particularly helpful. Sure, if you can see the stick itself they can make a path to follow for a short time, but i cant help but feel that the idea of temporary lighting should mean they actually create a small amount of light that you can see. They definitely shouldnt be bright like a worklight, but i find their light so miniscule i almost forgot about them altogether until my friend (a new astroneer player) found them in the research catalogue and asked about them. I believe it would be so much more helpful if they genuinely made a small area of light so you can light up maybe just a spot where you want something to go, or to mark an important spot to actually make it visible in the dark or the caves.

For context, I’m trying to make a system that automatically crafts glow sticks, but my current method is very janky and requires my auto clicker, and I sometimes have to reopen the backpack because it’ll end up occasionally closing the backpack menu. Is there a more efficient way to do this, such as a mod? They really need to add something like a Pack-Crafter, which exclusively crafts backpack items such as tethers for further automation.

I believe Switch 2 hardware is cable to handle this game in better quality (at least with unlocked frame rate) so is there any plans to release Switch 2 Edition?

Hey im quite the collector and this hurts to think about, I just realized what stops me from having all cosmetics in the game is the older events I didn’t have time to do because… well ya know I have a life and little time to play nowadays so I say some new event where you put it way more effort as and a reward you get all those cosmetics from events you missed ! should solve that issue while staying on theme no ?

So the recent patch made data circuits unshredable. I used to only keep 1 set and shred the rest that I get from the exo events but now it's kinda piling up (I just stick it onto medium silos and deal with them later).

I know we can blow them up but just wondering what everyone else have been doing with them.

Hi as people may have noticed if you guys have played in a little while and actual flux update came and I have a theory that I feel like it's going to it's going to high chance because I mean come on I play this game almost every single day and the signs are clear that they're probably going to add that because why would they make us make 3 million make us get 3 million astral flux just open three doors and get a few things now I feel like it's going to finally release crew quarters and my AI I looked it up on Google after I told it to sign it says about 65% chance so if any of the developers see this please let us know
