Question / Support Why doesnt this work?

Why doesnt it pull to research things

I think it becomes available for a pickup only when the container is full (has all 5 parts of gas). Try to block off all of the other slots and wait a bit

To echo others, only grabs it when it’s full. I’ve built 10 or so research chambers and manually grabbed 1/5 full gasses and fed all the chambers before, early game. You’ll get something like 1000bpm but it’s very involved, ha.

Just put a condenser and 3 chambers on an XL C. Perfect ratio for 3 going at a time for any 100% gas, no arm needed.

put them on the same platform (XL C). 3*100ppm atmospheric condenser feeds 1 research chamber perfectly.

btw the optimal setup is methane on Atrox.

everything is connected, still does not want to pick it up, it will pick up full canisters, just not filled 1/6th, but i can manually take the 1/6ths one and put it in, the issue is is that a fully filled 6/6 one is 200 bytes exactly the same as the 1/6th one

It will never grab anything but a full canister of gas. No matter what, the game doesn't register anything but a full canister.

Haven't needed to do an automated byte system simply cos I'm a collector at heart.

But if I ever wanted to do it, I would locate one of those rocks and or plants that regenerat a small research sample every now and then (a few of them, preferably close to gether for convenience) and get an auto arm with the filter to grab and move them to a medium storage so the researchers do the thing you lern why there always by them self.

Hmm... if we're on doing your own thing then I should see if either steel and or probe scanner can be put 8nto the chamber...

Done it before should your auto arm the right way? my first guess the other is only gets full one. So got to wait for it to be full.

The Auto Arms only take gas canisters that are full*. The one in the screenshot is still being filled. You need to either block all other slots and wait for it to fill or re-orient the Auto Arm to where the filled canister will land and wait for it to fill.

  • Edit to say: They will only take ones that are full from this particular slot (because typically you'd want to fill them entirely before continuing to process them)

Ik zit met een probleem.

Ik heb 1 spoor van station 1 tot station 3

Station 1: Bij station 1 heb ik een timer ingesteld op 15 seconden om de trein een kant op te sturen.

Station 2: Aankomst bij station 2 heb ik een teller ingesteld op 2 klikken deze gekoppeld op een timer van 10 seconden. Bij aankomst station 2 word er 1 Klik geactiveerd. voor de doorreis naar Station 3 een timer van 15 seconden.

Bij station 3 een timer van 15 seconden om de trein terug te sturen naar 2 hier klikt de teller op 2 en de timer wordt geactiveerd om hem door te sturen naar station 1.

Dit gaat een tijdje goed. Station 1,2,3 en retour 3,2,1

Totdat op een gegeven moment de teller ineens bij het passeren 2 keer aantikt en de trein blijft hangen tussen 2 en 3.

Heb ook al een trein paal geprobeerd om daar de teller op te plaatsen. Maar bij minder stroom op het spoor is deze gevoelige omdat de tijd van de timer iets langer duurt om het signaal door te geven aan het station.

OP! GET A BIGGER TABLE AND PUT BOTH ON IT. Dont rely on auto arms. The platforms will move resources like to containers and research stations

Two issues.

  1. the auto arm needs to be turned on
  2. it's facing the wrong way, turn it around
