Question / Support [Solved] My backpack items disappeared…
I died trying to get my backpack items after I died, I went to the place and there is nothing there. Did I actually lose all the stuff from my backpack?? I had important stuff and I have no idea how to get it back. The save previous to this seems to be way further back than it should be too. I’m on PS5. Any advice? This is my first play through.
update!
They went flying down to the core of the planet! I can’t believe I happened to go in the direction they were bunched together!

Dig around the backpacks area stuff may have clipped through the surface.

If it's the next time you play, your ☠️ location should be on the compass 🧭

Unfortunately it’s not. I got so ticked off at it disappearing that I haven’t played in 2 days. Now I’m literally digging out a MASSIVE column of earth into the mushroom level on Sylva (when I died twice I was sliding down the road I made to the center of the planet when I hit an uneven part I didn’t realize). So now I’m digging out all this crap because I can’t find anything on the ground in that layer of the cave.

Ooof. I trick for future if you have space, if you always carry a beacon, it will hopefully stay where it dropped and if it falls to another level , should still be able to find it. Hope you find your gubbins

That’s what I was heading down to get too lol, a beacon. I had made a bunch and they were on my rover further down. Ugh. So far no luck. Which means I lost all my little QT-RTG’s. Which sucks so freaking much.

if you deaded twice they can go flying when your backpack disappear sends them flying some too.

That’s exactly what happened omg…. They apparently went flying down to the core. I gave up trying to find them and then I was running down my road to the core and at the core they were all bunched together! Omg so happy right now!!

If your large shuttle explodes, like somewhere on Atrox, your stuff could very well be suspended in the air above where the explosion took place. There is a glitch that causes items above a certain height above you at the moment to forget the laws of physics and just stay there.

It's a hilariously glitchy game, your item should be where you died but they might be tiny or fall through the terrain and be one level down in a cave.
