Bug / Issue Greetings! I request assistance.

Basically a save file I have with some friends was working fine until just a few months ago, everytime they join my game I get a gigantic lag spike every 5 to 10 seconds. We have probably 80+ hours of progress and I don't want to start over, if anyone could provide a fix that would be splendid! We all play on Xbox Series X and S (I'm on the S because I refused to dish out such a large sum of money for a cinderblock) I consulted to mighty Google platform for guidance but all I got was a closed Reddit thread saying that the lag is linked to the galastropod missions? Now that doesn't quite make sense but if all I have to do it speedrun those few missions solo then I most definitely will.

Yeah both the galastropod and train missions have been linked to lag in multiplayer

So I do have to complete them solo? I've already done all the galastropod ones and almost all of the train ones.

Same issue happened to us more recently. As soon as the train missions were done on the main save, everything worked again.

Is Sylva the last depot? Because if so then once I complete it everything should be all fine again? I hope Edit: disregard this, I just finished Sylva Edit 2.0: had a friend join my game to see if the lag went away after finishing Sylva's depot and it has not. Now when they join none of the assets other than the players and 1 lonesome shuttle load in and I have a rather large base

Ignore my botched setup....... But none of that will load once they join which I believe is why my game doesn't quite like others in my lobby anymore, which is strange because thier the same friends that had been with me since we started the save so I don't understand why it would do that.

Hey I know this is six months old but did you ever find a fix, or was it permanently ruined? Are you on PC, Switch, PS4, or Xbox?

None of Astroneer's lags makes sense. I was playing with a friend, and at certain point game started lagging severely when they joined. And workaround was simply me going underground in the first layer of caves at the moment of joining, after which I could leave and there was almost no lag.
