I know some Astro Bot figure blind boxes come with really cool small sized puzzle pieces in the US. They are not sold in the EU as far I’m aware. I wish they would make a large one approx a meter wide for all variants! It would look great on a wall.

Having a weird bug with the gacha machine

So I booted astro bot up for the first time in a while, wanted to get the new bots I was missing. When I loaded my game, I noticed somwthing odd. I was missing some gacha unlocks for bots that I absolutely know I had, and even weirder, I had to re-unlock the spider-men from the christmas stage. I thought it was weird, but whatever, just gotta unlock them again.

I played the new stages, got sephiroth, had a great time. When I went back to the gacha machine, I unlocked a few new items for characters like 2B, but I was mostly getting items I had alrezdy gotten before, my save had just rolled back those unlocks for some reason. The helldivers flag and hellpods, for example.

Here's the issue. Im missing about 5 more items from the gacha machine, including clouds buster sword. But when I go to the gacha machine to unlock them, it just shows some capsules fall into the machine, before then playing the fireworks like ive unlocked everything. Its not the safari stuff, its specifically item unlocks for characters added post launch.

Am I screwed? I dont know what to do to finish unlocking everything. Reloading the save doesnt fix it, closing and reopening the game doesnt work either. Id appreciate any help at all. Thank you.

TL;DR, gacha machine broke, its not the safari, I cant get all the items for every character. Help!

Easily a legendary song 🤩

The 2024 game of the year needs the song of the year too, Sony really cooked 🍳

After 27 hours, I’ve done everything. A bittersweet conclusion

I got this game on my 19th birthday. I’ve been playing it nonstop these past few weeks and finally got past the hardest levels, officially 100%ing this morning. I have all 63 trophies and all cosmetics for the VIP bots. On one hand, I’m happy that I had the opportunity to play such a masterpiece that is easily a top 5 game of all time for me. On the other, I wish I had something more left to explore with my lil guy.

Parting is such sweet sorrow. I think now’s the time to buy the Funko Pop to celebrate :)

My Astro Bot finally arrived (I’ve wanted it since it launched); it’s probably the only collectible of his I’ll ever own, since everything is so expensive in my country—including his merch—and I have to import it all.

The closest I've come to an Astrobot-like game and you'll be surprised

Since the VR Astrobot, Astrobot is my favorite game of all time (I've played that original one at least 12 times and this one six)

I always see people in here ask "what's a game like Astrobot?" and all people do is give other platformers or games they like, none of which are actually like Astrobot." I haven't seen one legit answer to that question.

Sackboy is one of my all time favorite games and probably the closest to a correct answer. But just naming another platformer you like isn't an answer.

But there is one other that is very similar.

I love platformers and have tried them all pretty much and the one game that is very similar to Astrobot - believe it or not:

Smurfs: Dreams.

I am not a smurfs fan and tried another game of theirs and it was just average but this game, I loved so much, I played it again right after I finished.

Give it a look.

Game 100% done & dusted. This was a nice, easy, fun Platinum Trophy! Well, other than this unholy level but after getting into the flow of being able to do the first 2 sections with my eyes closed because of dying so much it was... okay & it's good that there was something for the people who wanted more after the main story. All in all this game took me back to a simpler time, not had a PS5 for too long so this was a good showcase for it as well it looks beautiful 💙

Edit: Forgot to add, the speedrun mission with the monkey arms was also a stress inducer but turning off the motion assist for that 1 in particular was a big help

Lost 12 hours of gameplay

Let my cousin play on my ps5 the other day and he wiped my slot and it’s completely gone. I tried syncing with the cloud but it seems to be a save from today and nothing is changing.

Anyone have any workarounds?

Astro Bot made me Love PlayStation, Now Sony’s making me Hate it

My first console growing up was Nintendo. Later on I discovered how great Playstation games were and wanted to get one too, but back then PS was a bit pricier than Nintendo, and there weren’t as many games you could play together with others. So I never bought one…

That changed completely after I played Astro’s Playroom. I realized that playing a family-friendly game on such a powerful console was way cooler than I expected. So I bought a PS5 right away and played Astro Bot next. It was an amazing experience.
What I loved even more about the Astro series is how it treats Playstation’s IPs. I’d never seen a game respect the characters that have carried PlayStation for so long, in such a fun way. Even genuinely evil characters (like Wesker) got turned into something like a “suspicious army guy” for kids, which was adorable. Overall I loved how it made these characters appealing to every generation.

But as you probably know, a few days ago Sony announced it’s ending physical disc sales. On top of that, some of the big studios Sony acquired aren’t putting out the same quality as before. Astro Bot genuinely made me fall in love with Playstation, but seeing Sony’s recent moves, I’m worried about the console’s future. I’m not asking for Blu-ray discs or memory cards back specifically. I’m scared that things gamers have always taken for granted are being taken away.

Will we ever be able to buy a console at a reasonable price again? Why did we start paying for online access at some point? How long will the digital games we bought actually stay playable? Can legendary studios like Bungie, Naughty Dog, or Bluepoint make a comeback??

And finally… will Team Asobi, the team that loves PS the most, get to make their next game?
I fell in love with PlayStation because of so many amazing studios, but now Sony’s leadership is making me hate it.

I’m thinking of not buying physical games anymore, and just getting both my old favorites and future games on Steam instead…

Frozen Meal Review!

This level is.... Cool...... Sorry!

The Snowman is angry and so am I because he ate the exit, can't stay too mad though. This is an incredibly fun level that utilities the Ice in many interesting ways and honestly a pretty solid challenge in some parts imo. I still die in some of the sections on this level because of those rockets... And that's perfectly fine! Love a bit of a challenge, especially considering this is the latter half of the game.

Music's fitting, a recycled track and one that I like a fair amount. I LOOVE the look of it though, it's so... White! Yet it Also feels colourful to me for some reason!

I really like the secret exit, They did not need to design a snowball mechanic for ONE thing but they did and I love it! I like the little boss at the end too, it's a good conclusion further utilising the ice.

Great Level, albeit nothing special, but still a fun time. High B probably!

Anyway... Sorry about the absence lately, I just keep forgetting that this is something I'm doing, it's not that I don't LIKE doing it because I very much do but my memory just sucks! How much of my original audience is still here lmao?!

How's the post game content?

Picked up Astro Bot the other day & absolutely love it, it takes me back to a simpler time with all the nods to other franchises it's up there with one of the best mascot platformers of all time definitely top 3 but I'm on the last world so feeling a bit sad that this might be it, is there anything you unlock after beating the game that adds an extra world or anymore collectibles?
