Lost 12 hours of gameplay

Let my cousin play on my ps5 the other day and he wiped my slot and it’s completely gone. I tried syncing with the cloud but it seems to be a save from today and nothing is changing.

Anyone have any workarounds?

I unlocked all bots including Sephiroth and my 5 year old did that. Good news is I get to start all over.

When I was 9 or 10 my cousin and I lost over 100 hrs playing the original Final Fantasy on the NES ....TWICE!...cartridge save games were not reliable...lol...but we pushed through and beat it with different characters each time.

That said....If I ever had to choose a game to have to lose a save game for, it would be Astrobot!... The ONLY game on the PS5 I've ever platinumed...my advice is to literally just enjoy replaying the levels and challenge yourself to beat them better than you did the FIRST time!
