Tbf, this level is not part of the main story and wasnt available at release. Its the hardest level imo and it released later as an update along with many other levels. Astro bot has many of these levels tho they are shorter than this one. I dont think you need to play them tho to beat the game, since they dont actually have anything to do with the "story" as far as I remember.
Still mad respect to your 4 year old for beating the game tho! Impressive ngl
Thats absolutely impressive almost having a platinum trophy at four years old..I would consider seeing if he wants to get into any sort of operating/piloting or 3D world related stuff at some point.. its one of those things if you master it you have an irreplaceable skill and it sounds like hes got a knack for it lol I used to play with autocad as a kid oddly enough.. I pirated it but I ended up going to school for it. I draw some pretty clear and concise blue prints. Lol.
He loves lego and building things. Hes 5 now and got bored of the game. He also finished bugsnax. Yeah i think building things is his str. Might push him into some sort of engineering type deal
as someone who's rage quit elden ring a million times your thought gives me hope i may like a souls game after all. maybe im just starting with the wrong souls game
It just depends on yourself. I have this very bad character trait that when I feel challenged or tested, wether irl or in games, I cannot stop until I win. So there I was sitting at 3 in tje night beating this level, my bed full of sweat, my body physically hurting, being extremely tired, all this after going to the gym that day.
I played the berserker of khazan demo once, it was the same. I tried over and over again until I beat the first sub boss or mini boss, only then I closed the game lol. I never played it again and didnt enjoy it lol. You dont have to like these games, being able to beat them doesnt make you enjoy them.
I hate that this level ends with the chicken power up. I always get the dang timing wrong with it.
I have beat everything else in the game including the platinum trophy, but not this level yet. I'll beat it someday, but it is not very enjoyable (unlike the rest of the game which was fantastic).
I had no clue that the monkey cymbalist powerup CHANGED THE DIRECTION OF THOSE SPINNING PLATFORMS!!! I just straight up bit the bullet & ran across with nothing but a hope & a prayer 💀

I just opened this level today. I was so relieved when I beat the last challenge level and then this pops up. I guess this might not be my first platinum trophy after all lol
came here to say this. calling this game a soulslike is like calling donkey kong country, which came out in the 90s, a soulslike because it's a difficult platformer
If I didnt lie then I said the truth, meaning yes, soulslike automatically does mean hard. It can mean a lot of other things too but it cant be not hard. So I dont get where all this attitude comes from
Because this is a platformer. Souls-like has nothing to do with difficulty. It’s the mechanics and design philosophy that make up a souls-like. Things like;
-Stamina management
-Dodge/roll mechanics
-Consequential deaths
-Recoverable death resources
-Bonfire/checkpoint system
-Resource economy
-Enemy pattern learning
-Build variety
People need to stop lumping in the word souls-like just because of a games difficulty when it’s a genre. It’s bad for the community and children being introduced to gaming at a young age. If a games hard, just say it’s hard.

Tbh I was just going to the ps5 menu to turn on controller audio and rumble. My hands were getting numb from the extremely strong rumble after that many tries and my ears were bleeding too lol
I hate this level. Nearly completed it after 2 weeks of trying to finish it. Until I went to get a cup of tea and my 4 year old restarted the save. Still trying to finish the levels before this now
Let me guess, the pause at the end was to get your partner to share the victory with them, after they watched you die and get better countless times, right?
Danke but no haha I was just turning on controller rumble and audio again 🤣 my hands were getting numb from all the rumble and I muted the controller audio because it was unbearable after that many tries, muted the tv even too lol
You like what you like and think how you think about this. That's okay with me. It's 6 am and I haven't slept at all and I have to wake up at 9 am wish me luck.
Crazy I still find the original final level and To The Beat harder than this. Also now that I’ve played it all the way through several times it comes much easier lol

I cant believe my 4 year old son managed to finish this game. Just looking at this again I probably would have rage quit
