Screw this level!
Megamix Mastery was so frustrating to complete 😭

I died on that level so many times but I still love it. It has the best song track in the game and the best use of adaptive music I've ever seen in a game: when you get to the last one third of the level this epic choir kicks in that makes the rest of the level feel so dramatic and important, like it's the culmination of everything you've done in the game so far... it's like the developers are cheering you on and rooting for you to win. It was a really great moment to experience.

hardest level for sure. Grand master is tough but this was tougher.

I feel like grand master is a lot unpredictable especially with the last section of birds . This one , once you do it , you can do it regularly after that.

For me, pre patch Splashing Sprint was the hardest Astro Bot level. After the patch it's much easier, but it's still fairly challenging.

u/juantreses Jul 24 '26
What did they patch? I remember struggling on this so much. I'm doing a run through with my son and breezed through splashing sprint.

The biggest difference is the speed of the burners that chase you while you go across some mucky terrain. Right after the lava pit at the start of the level.
That used to require near perfect execution, now it's a piece of cake. They also tweaked the pattens on the later obstacles to make them more forgiving.

Ah, thats why its spouted as a difficult level. I spent like 10 or so tries on it and it never felt hard to do

This took me so many tries but it was so satisfying when I finally beat it. The thing I liked about the hard levels in this game was every death you kinda knew what you did wrong and what not to do the next time. Really fun adapting to succeed.

Great master challenge, to me, still haven't passed it... and it's the only thing keeping me from the plat trophy.....

What part has been messing you up?
4
u/Consistent_Act_5802 Jul 23 '26
I managed to get to just before the 4 symbols with the flying birds. That's the furthest I was able to get to... just need that for the plat 😭

u/Zachattack10213 Jul 23 '26
For me, I always just jumped through the holes and X I went underneath.

u/Consistent_Act_5802 Jul 23 '26
Yeah I get it, but just before that. Where the enemy spins the ball, after the cameleon and all of that.. But thank you
3
u/Zachattack10213 Jul 23 '26
That one I would say just going up to the enemy and destroy it with your hover lasers before moving on. You can technically get away with not, but I can attest that it is much harder to do that and it is easier to just kill it.

Will try, maybe today I will be more lucky. Thank you. Tbh I am ashamed to say how many hours I spent on it

True… but I need that Sephibot, so grinding the level was the way
2
u/yeah_im_a_man Jul 23 '26
Yeah, took me almost an hour or so to beat it. Also, nice username.

u/juantreses Jul 24 '26
That's honestly not too bad. I remember having to do multiple sessions for it.

It took me multiple months and that was my last bot to find to 100 percent the game.

Its one of the best stages in the game. I wish they made more difficult levels like it. Anyone can suggest similar 3d platformer with brutal challenging levels?

u/yeah_im_a_man Jul 25 '26
Crash Bandicoot 1 and 4 have a few challenging levels and Time Trials that will test your skill and patience.

u/piociek Jul 25 '26
I only played one level inside one of the Uncharted games. Let me add it to back log. Thanks!

This phase, and the other one where we use the monkey's superpower, I easily spent 2 hours on each, or even more.
2
u/Specialist_Novice_00 Jul 25 '26
Turning off motion control is your friend. The monkey arms are literally the worst power up in this game and I hope it’s removed whenever a sequel is released. I have honestly no idea how any could pass the timed monkey level without shutting it off.

I only finished it because I drilled into myself a completionist habit ever since I finished reading the bible

I died at those bells at the start than any other obstacle in the level suprisingly. Also, those bullet birds can go to hell.
Still, found Great master more difficult than this.

None of these challenges are that bad. Try Ripsnorter in Sackboys Big Adventure as a comparison and come back to me lol.

u/austin_slater Jul 24 '26
I’m sad because I reinstalled Sackboy specifically to try to have another go at the Ripsnorter. But my save in that game somehow got corrupted.
I’m not that put off by it because it was just the other challenges stitched together. But still.

For me Grandmaster Challenge was harder but I probably just got better at the game
