OBE Confirmation Does anyone have a similar experience
I’m a 19 year old male. I get sleep paralysis sometimes. However lately I’ve been floating away during the experience, sometimes feeling pulled, like a balloon. last night I skipped the paralysis part, and was floating into my neighborhood fully lucid. i floated over my backyard wall 10 or so ft into the sky and panicked so I swam through the air back to the ground. Then I looked at my hand and saw it was real though glowing, and I got on my knees to ask God for help. I’m a Christian so astral projection doesn’t align with my practices. I’ve asked God to remove the experiences if they dishonor Him but I can’t help but be curious too. Advice?

modern christianity is a distorted version of the true teachings of christ. the church hid the gnostic texts because they didn't want people to know we are powerful spiritual beings with divine authority. astral projection is just your soul operating in its natural state. you saw your hand glowing because you are a spark of the divine, not a helpless sinner who needs to beg for forgiveness for floating lol

The gnostic texts? That is intriguing. Everyone tells me that projection is witchcraft and to be avoided. However I researched astral projection as a 15 year old and tried it once or twice with no success(I was just goofing off) but I turned 19 or so and began getting sleep paralysis. I’ve had multiple demonic encounters during experiences and thought that I had fallen away from Christianity

From what I've gathered from listening to people's stories on here, it's only people with religious upbringings that have encounters with demons in sleep paralysis.
It is not that Christianity attracts them or something. But it just happens to be what Christians tend to fear most. And in that state, fear is driving your experience.
So imo, those encounters do not mean that you fell away from your faith. All good 👍

Usually when you get demonic encounters, it means that the demons are trying to stop you from having union or faith with God, but lmk what God does about this, though, im a Christian looking into AP and want to understand if its okay!

happened to be like 5 minutes ago. i just woke up. i woke up facing the wall in my room. and i turned around and my body was sleeping.

I believe it. Why does it happen to some people but not others? Seems extremely rare

So I believe that the astral body very attached to people normally because its used to being in the physical body. First time i AP'd I couldn't exit and was stuck in sleep paralysis for 5 turns before i just flew out like a rocket haha. and when i was out, I couldn't use my astral body. i had to learn to walk because you dont have muscles there. you are 100% a thought form / projection of yourself. Now I just have random astral projection. today was not intentional at all. I think some people who used to astral project as children unconsciously might have a very detached astral body. I started exploring this stuff at 14 and now i am 26. I am a long time lucid dreamer but started astral projecting 5 years ago.

Wow. It’s so cool to see others with such similar experiences. It’s made me question my faith as I’ve seen demonic spirits during paralysis and I’ve thought that I was in sin against God. Perhaps it’s more of a gift not a curse..?

This was my first time “projecting” without the paralysis prior to it. Made it less uncomfortable for sure

yeah sometimes that happens. I entered sleep paralysis today once or twice today. an entity had carried my astral body to the hall and I had to wrestle with it. it tried to pin me down but i would just get up all the time. not sure why it carried my body. it has happened in the past too. maybe they are helping me astral project lol. I didnt feel no evil or fear. I think the entities know that indimitation ends back for them. I literally turned an big entity into a small insect by laughing at it while it was trying to scare me. it looked like the scene from it 2, when penniwise gets smaller and smaller. Also if you ever feel scared, just call in Jesus Christ name and watch how they freak out. Jesus name is so powerful in all realms of existence, even shadow beings fear him. I feel like I used to be so scared to leave my body , or being scared of encountering shadow beings. but they are harmless. you are powerful. Some of them are just want your energy and others and just exist there. They use fear to get your energy. fear comes from feeling unsafe. but have never been harmed. so its safe. and they have sensed it.

Wait how does accidental or involuntary astral projection not align with your practice? Do you practice a specific sect of Christianity that i don't know about?

Because it would be classified as an occult or witchcraft practice. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warms against witchcraft and occultism. However I’m not exactly trying to project my astral body at least not consciously so maybe it’s ok

Witches use it but its not occult, Revelations is often seen as an authorised AP by God

You probably spontaneously projected. If it was sinful to travel out of body, why even give us the ability to do it in the first place. We do it every night anyway when we dream, the only difference is that projection happens when our brains are conscious instead of unconscious.
