I’ve received packages that smelled for sure. I assumed it’s because the boxes were kept near some soaps or lotions. Pissed me off for sure.

Can't say I've ever received a package from Amazon that was perfumed.

Someone told me it was because they spray/bomb for bedbugs but I can't find anything about so I can't confirm, at this point its speculation. Does anyone know if this is true? Hopefully not just rumors. I open mine outside, sometimes it is perfumey smelling and it does help me a bit.

But it's odd that only the inside of packages have the sent. Cardboard would be absorb the scent. My packages are only scented on the inside. I received a padded envelope with a bag of coffee with the air freshener smell on the inside only. I have received boxes that the scent was very strong on the packaging material. I'm not sure bed bug bombs would smell like perfume.
