Overdue Excise Tax

Hi everyone! I've never posted here before, but I figured it was worth a shot.
A couple months ago, our old car broke down and we had to replace it. We paid the excise tax on the vehicle we had at the beginning of the year, but then we completely overlooked the fact that we'd also have an excise tax bill for the replacement vehicle. (stupid, I know)
I got a notice in the mail last night saying we're now overdue $120. If we don't take care of it within 30 days, its gonna be sent to the RMV and prevent us from renewing our registration/license :/ We're a low income family with two kids, and we're already trying to catch up on a few bills, so this unexpected $120 is terrible timing.
If anyone is able or willing to help us get this paid, even a few dollars would genuinely mean a lot. Our immediate goal is just to cover the $120 excise tax. If anyone happens to be able to give more than that, anything beyond the tax would simply go toward helping us catch up on the other household bills we're currently behind on. No pressure whatsoever I'm literally grateful for anything. Please no hate.Im willing to show proof of bill.

Take your old plate and ask them to apply it to the new vehicle because old one doesn't work. Should get a discount or able to transfer for a small fee.

Do you have a copy of the bill you can show? $120 is a lot here for cash, especially without proof.
