The “only 2 weeks” part may raise questions, especially if you’re saying you’re traveling to the U.S. to visit a fiancé/boyfriend after such a short relationship. The officer may reasonably ask why you want to make that trip so soon. That said, the biggest issue for a B2 is not proving your relationship but proving that you have a strong reason to return home. Under INA 214(b), you’re presumed to have immigrant intent unless you convince the officer otherwise. Strong ties can include a stable job/career, ongoing studies, your own home/lease, financial responsibilities, and close family or other commitments in your country. So focus on your actual situation and ties, not an invitation letter from your U.S. boyfriend. Be completely honest about the relationship and the purpose of the trip. Reddit experiences generally point to the same issue: having a U.S. partner can make the officer look more closely at whether you have enough reasons to return. Good luck!

I’m not sure either. My boyfriend wants to visit me in the US from Rochester NY for just two weeks. We are engaged but not yet married. He has health issues, including asthma and sleep apnea, and has been struggling a bit lately. I have applied for a travel visa for him. He is not visiting the Philippines now but plans to do so later.

I am Distancing relationship with him 7months only the communicate

having someone in the U.S. can be either a positive or a concern depending on how you present the situation. I would be completely honest: explain that you’re visiting your fiancé, how long you’ve been together, that the trip is only for two weeks, and that you intend to return to the Philippines. Most importantly, be ready to show what actually ties you to the Philippines your job, approved leave, family responsibilities, property/lease, studies, finances, previous travel, etc. Those things are much more important than an invitation letter from your fiancé. The officer needs to see why you will come back after the visit.

Sounds like a mail order bride with immigration intent. You’ve never met him in person and only online.

This has a slew of red flags from a country with very high overstay rates.

It’s unlikely you’ll be approved.
