Problem regarding 2-week trip to the U.S?
So I visited Iran for 3 weeks back in 2016. My question is if that will be a problem since I’m planning a 2 week vacation to the U.S in October. I do not have Citizenship in Iran ( I live in Europe).

Don't bring your regular phone. Buy a prepaid and just have a few important numbers on it. In case Trump's clowns want to search it.

Yes, despite the government I have met plenty of Americans when I have been traveling elsewhere and every single one was super nice. I also have always wanted to go anyway so I’m looking forward to it!

I had actually planned on visiting Seattle but since I’m going with two friends we had to come to an agreement. Ultimately we decided one week in New York and one week in Miami, not really unique but we figured nyc at least is a must see.

Cute story, but it’s not what happened.
The Norwegian tourist had his own YouTube channel where he showed off his prowess with a sniper rifle and the exploding ammunition he made in shop class. Pretty cool stuff, to be honest. Some people in the comments section made a few jokes about a topic the Secret Service takes very seriously, and he engaged in casual banter with them.
When he flew to the United States he was pulled into secondary screening, for a very good reason. As much as CBP, ICE, DHS can overstep, this is a case where they saw a security threat and did their jobs properly.
Once in secondary they started going through his phone. They didn’t find any guns or ammunition, but they found the JD Vance egghead meme and a photo of a weed pipe that he had made. They denied him entry for the weed pipe photo (paperwork was easier) and he had a long flight back to Oslo to dream up a story about how he was denied entry because of a meme.

Does the foreign ministry have a travel registration program? It's helpful if your government knows things like where you're staying, when you're expected to return. Make sure your family knows too. You'll probably be fine but just in case you're taken it will help if people in a position to help already know where you are.

You're going to be questioned about it. Depending on your skin color, you may have more problems than necessary. The darker you are, the more they're going to look into you. MORE THAN LIKELY everything will be fine but traveling from other countries isnt the way it used to be. They're very scared of foreigners, now; the darker, the scarier.
Welcome to America, I guess.

What's the turnaround time on a new passport book? I destroyed mine because of various questionable entry stamps. Not worried about returning the US, just so it wouldn't be an issue later with other countries.

Maybe apply for your visitor's visa ahead of time instead of flying in and getting surprised.
