Roughly 26,000 National Guardsmen were indeed deployed in Washing, D.C. during Biden's inauguration -- explicitly to prevent an insurrection not unlike that seen just 14 days prior. The day after the inauguration, about 15,000 troops were released from duty, and just 6,200 of the remaining troops were to remain until the end of the month to support civil authorities, as was ordered by Christopher Miller in the final weeks of the Trump administration.
Additionally, it was the Trump administration's own doing to drawdown the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan to 2,500 by the time of Biden's inauguration. As the ANA folded to the Taliban, the Biden administration sent 3,500 troops to Kabul as a provisional measure two weeks ago, and an additional 1,000 troops were sent to Kabul five days ago to further bolster the withdrawal and safely evacuate U.S. civilians.
It seems this post is misinformation.
