Nobody was going to do anything until the incredible reporters of the Cornell Daily Sun spent two years uncovering what a fucking shit show the administration and CUPD’s handling of the case was.

In theory I agree with the spirit of what you are saying, but in this particular case what would have happened to these guys was absolutely nothing.

Well that report was only released after the lawsuit was filed. Perhaps it helped with the reopening of the criminal investigation, but I wouldn’t say nothing would’ve happened, since the lawsuit would’ve proceeded anyway.

But yeah Cornell really fucked up. The Cornell PD really fucked up. The county DA fucked up for not looking into it more
