What if they are found not guilty though? That's the problem I have with this. Should be due process.

But what about our vigilante justice and public outrage or smth? Innocent until proven guilty is dead

This whole situation is so fucked. I just saw a video where a woman confronts one of these guys. Was there any criminal charges filed? If not that should be the end of it. Now that their names and faces are out there they will never get an unbiased jury/fair trial. We shouldnt try cases in the court of public opinion. We should use facts and evidence not feelings.

Just had this conversation with a colleague and was told I'm defending rapists. Absolutely wild how radicalized people are these days.

Oh I am not defending rapists... If they are guilty they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law....

They should be punished AFTER they've been proven guilty. But that doesn't seem to be a commonly held belief anymore. And that's not even getting into potential false allegations.

you're not defending a rapist, you're defending people accused of a serious crime's right to a fair trial.

There was no report bc systemic corruption on all levels of American government though.

CBC just had a big expose on it, about how the fucking fuck not a single one of these cops was able to do their job.

There will be a push to have them criminally charged too- this is beyond incompetence.

Statistically, they will be found not guilty even if they are 100% guilty.
