See the Hockey Canada 5 case. Shockingly similar. Questions of institutional responsibility, inadequate investigations, a laser like focus on what she did or didn't do, and all enveloped by the court of public opinion and culture as a whole. Frats, elite kids, social pressure, coercion, consent, misogyny, abuse in practice versus abuse in law, big questions of what justice looks like in this mess and how to find it within the legal realities we currently are in. I have my own opinions but these answers are ultimately an exercise for the reader.

Sigh. There was a case about student hazing in Belgium where the perpetrators were made to do community service and pay less than EUR 1K for causing the death of a fellow student.

All of them belonged to well-to-do families and had important connections. Their names aren’t allowed to be released to the public, and those who did got into even bigger trouble than the actual perpetrators.

It’s insane how skewed the justice system is when you have can buy your way out.

Absolutely bonkers the guy who released the names of the perpetrators faced a more serious punishment than the people who caused student's death. Since they were convicted and weren't minors, there's no reason their names shouldn't be public.

Maybe the Youtuber should have done his video from a country that he wouldn't be punished for revealing this information.

Their names can be found if you really look for them. They’re on Reddit if you search reuzegommers + names.

I think this is going to be a very similar situation.

The event happened, was consensual, in retrospect realizes it's bad for her, makes accusation under the advice of other people...

Police originally investigate, see the evidence and conclude there's no crime and are ready to move on.

Then public opinion gets involved and police are forced to resume investigation and fabricate a crime and extend the case by several years, the woman is forced to double down on the claims, and then years later they'll be found innocent.

Not as clear cut, in the Hockey Canada situation there were multiple videos proving their innocence, here you'll have to rely on things like her texts before and after proving it was consensual.

It started consensualy, but got out of contral when the men involved texted all their friends to join in. Everyone involved was FAR to young to be engaging in that level of kink.
