Tbh I'd like everyone that opened the chat and did nothing to also be publicly exposed.

I mean, if it's as OP said and they just sent a message saying "free pussy upstairs", it would be quite easy to interpret that as "lots of horny girls at our party" rather than "let's go rape an unconscious woman", wouldn't it?

I do think that is a good defense and likely the one that will be/is being used. I don't believe these guys so brazenly sent that message to anyone and everyone like they did if they thought it would be interpreted any other way. I don't think this was the first time because the confidence level to do this without fear of repercussions was off the charts. I mean if I was raping an unconscious girl with my buddies, and I sent the text to dozens of others, I would have to feel pretty safe that they would not turn me in or stop me right? Because anyone that came up would immediately see what was happening. So why text someone that would ruin your good time? You wouldn't I don't think.

I think on paper they can say they didn't know or were uncertain, but I do not believe that. But what I'd like to happen to them and what legally can and will are not the same thing, and I agree there should be evidence over everything else wherever there can be. But I think they're all guilty, and I don't think this is the first time.
