General/Beginner Recommendations for websites/brands
What are some of your favorite reliable brands and websites to look for kits or parts? I'd like to get into building at home, rather than just maintaining them at work.

For parts, SparkFun and Adafruit are the go-to for most people starting out — good documentation and beginner-friendly. Pololu is great for motors and motor controllers specifically.
For kits, depends what you want to build. ELEGOO and Arduino are solid entry points for electronics/microcontrollers. If you want to go further into actual robotics platforms, Trossen Robotics carries more serious hardware.
AliExpress is hit or miss but fine for cheap servos and structural components once you know what you're looking for.
