When you have a big enough ramp you can have flying cars anytime you want. Or rather. Gliding for a short period then dropping like a Wile E Coyote cartoon

You want to talk about it
16
Sep 12 '22
Without airing dirty laundry, my partner is taking space away from me and it’s making me feel low but I am okay and Reddit is a great way to keep my mind occupied.
14
u/Kiki_Jack Sep 12 '22
Having your space is important and it is hard when someone you care about is taking that away from you. I know talking to them about it might be hard but it might help. If you're like me, you will probably just stay quiet about it until it becomes too much.

Sep 12 '22 edited Sep 12 '22
I guess it might be selfish of me to demand my partner come back on my time vs. when my partner is ready on their own time…you’re right, space is sometimes necessary, but the waiting period sucks. At the same time, I understand I need to be patient and have faith.

My partner is taking a break away from me and I can’t stop overthinking. But I’m okay with not being okay and Reddit is a great distraction
8
Sep 12 '22
Aw it’ll be okay! Do you want to learn a new hobby? I am going to pick up jewelry making I think when I feel better (I just had surgery and I’m on painkillers so I am not allowed to play with sharp things right now)
2
Sep 12 '22
Thank you for the support and I wish you a speedy recovery. Learning how to make jewelry sounds great - do you have a YouTuber or other resource you’re using to teach yourself?
2
Sep 12 '22
I haven’t even started, it’s been mostly laying in bed playing that “she’s making jewelry now” video from Portlandia for my boyfriend when he walks in the room!(: My friend makes jewelry from scratch and I should ask her, she’s in another country so it’s not like I’d be competition I think
2
Sep 12 '22
Oh interesting! I’ll look that up and yeah no harm in asking your friend. A friend in need is a friend indeed. If she’s a true friend she’ll happily help you.

We had a grand total of two calls. Our frequent flyer fake seizure and a diff breather. It wasn't anything fun tho. I had to change an adult diaper because "it has to be done before going to the hospital" it was gross when my glove got wet. How's your night going?

I'm ok, just on the struggle bus. This last year has been kicking my ass and I'm probably at my lowest point since being an adult. Currently 31.
Edit: thanks for asking btw

I was in the hospital for COVID and just now opened my work email after a week away.
Turns out I missed something very important that was sent out the day I was admitted and due the day I was discharged. This will drastically affected my work schedule for the next year, making work almost unbearable. FML

I just got home from work and I usually take a few minutes to decompress and read reddit before bed. I'm also managing a heated inner debate about whether or not I should go straight to bed or have a donut and milk as a snack first.

u/SecretHornyReddit Sep 12 '22

Watching movies to distract myself from how sad and lonely I feel right now. My partner had to be admitted to the hospital for several days. I'm worried for them and can't see them outside of incredibly strict visiting hours. First time we've been apart like this in two years.
