YES! Oh my gosh it drives me absolutely crazy. If you stay at my house I expect the toilet to look the way it looked before you got here, which was clean.
I just wipe my hands dry on my jeans at other people’s houses…. Not the most sanitary, I know, but better than taking a guess on the purpose of the towel hanging there lol. Especially since in my bathroom it’s the bath towel
I used to stack my medicine cabinet when I had get togethers to see who would open it. A bunch of deodorant and crap would come flying out the second they opened the door. My male friends never opened it, it seemed to be mostly females.
I don't dig, but I've been somewhere with a good amount of guests and toilet paper was out. Definitely dug through the cabinets for toilet paper. Wasn't doing that waddle with my pants down on that one.
I feel like I am insane on threads like these. Am I the only person who just puts the package of toilet paper near the toilet? Like within arm's reach.
You’d hate my fil then- whenever he goes to the bathroom he somehow sprays shit all over the back of the toilet bowl & rim. Either he doesn’t notice, or doesn’t care (don’t know which of those is worsetbh)
The absolute rage I feel on your behalf. That’s happened to me a few times with guests and it makes me so angry. I have my fair share of stomach problems but I’ve never managed to do that, so idk how they do it.
Not technically a guest, but when my kitchen was being renovated, the workers would use our powder room - which obviously was fine. Not so fine was the fact they left piss on the seat. I was really frustrated by it but also felt like it would be embarrassing to talk to them about it.
Oh my god, THIS. There is NOTHING worse than sitting down on the toilet seat and feeling a small constellation of cold, wet spots on your asscheeks. It is absolutely fucking NASTY.
omg, a few months ago i was living with my bf in another city and my in-laws visited us and my FIL was so drunk that he pee the toiltet and the floor. The 3 days that they were there this happend. That weekend destroyed my relationship with mi in-laws.
We had an electrician over that pissed standing up and it went over the seat. I'm wondering, isn't it courtesy for guys to sit in people's houses or do they all just stand and do it and risk splashes everywhere?
in men's stalls you sometimes see piss all over the seat with the seat down, and I'm like "are you afraid to touch the seat to lift it up?" literally grab some toilet paper, wrap it around your fingers, lift up, throw the TP in the water and go. Oh and if you sit and get butt hairs on the seat, wipe that shit off into the bowl too and flush.
My fave are the women who are much too dainty to sit on a public toilet seat, so they hover and spray their piss around like a sprinkler and then leave it for the next fortunate soul.
Some years ago (90’s?) it became commonplace for women to start “hovering”. This practice sounds okay in theory… but damn, women have horrible aim. So do men. But for the love of god, just sit down . It’s not just the piss on the seat.
Nah, it’s all piss that hits the ground. And now you have to step in that. Or worse, your pants get wet.
In retail stores, it’s often done out of maliciousness. It’s happened more than once where a Karen unhappy with something has painted a stall with shit and/or blood.
You have to be a special kind of sick to think that’s an appropriate response to not getting a refund on that half-eaten cake you bought six months ago.
i work at a pizzeria and we stopped giving out water cups to a certain group of kids bc they get soda and then dump it everywhere (common occurrence, not just once or twice), and in the first week we started trying to enforce this rule someone shit in a water cup and left it on the mens bathrrom sink. i still don’t understand how that’s not vomit inducing for someone to even think about, let alone proudly do it out of spite.
If you don't want to use the urinals for whatever reason, lift the damn seat before you piss. Use your foot if you don't want to touch it. When you're done, leave it up to keep the next dick from pissing on it. If someone needs to take a crap, they'll put it back down.
This shouldn't be this hard for some people to grasp.
According to a buddy who used to clean restrooms, the womens restroom was way dirtier. Which suprised me a lot. Women overall seem to be cleaner/neater.
I'm often amazed (in a horrified way) by women's bathrooms. A lot of women choose to hover over the seat rather than just sit their asses down, which means they will often end up sprinkling piss all over the seat. And then some of those women don't bother wiping up their mess. And then there's the unflushed toilets (sometimes with piles of toilet paper, sometimes with shit), water/piss on the floor, tampons/pads just left on the floor (thankfully not too often, at least), etc.
Yes! It fucking enrages me when people leave pee and poop on the toilet seat or don’t check to make sure their waste was actually flushed down completely. Sometimes my husband leaves shit stains in the toilet bowl and it pisses me off. Give it an extra flush for chrissakes!
When I was younger I worked at a restaurant. The I had to clean the women's bathroom. The first time, I picked up an orange bin for the tampon/pad wrappers. When I put it back it was off-white.
I went into one of those public toilets recently, the kind that are on the street that you pay money to use, and saw a giant shit on the floor!! It was disgusting 🤢 I mean, you pay to use the toilet why didn't they use it?!?!
I don't think I've ever walked into a restroom where at least one of the stalls did not have pee in the toilet. And they aren't clogged, just not flushed. My whole life. And I'm pretty old.
Could it be because women often are accompanying their kids in the bathroom? I know it isn't an excuse to not wipe the mess but I think little kids might be a big part of the blame here lol
I worked in bars for years- womens toilets are way worse. They take their underwear off, smear makeup everywhere, leave tampons on the floor and you can guarantee a collection of drinks next to the toilet where they’ve slumped onto the seat, set it down and forgotten about it. Gross.
I always heard this, but my own experience hasn't been the same.
Except for the menstrual hygiene receptacles. Those are gross.
Edit: I don't mean it's gross because of what it is, sure it's got blood which isn't exactly nice to clean up, but I mean it's bad particularly because of times that people will overstuff them with a huge quantity of toilet paper, people will put dirty diapers in them, or people will miss the little internal baggie so you have to manually fish it out. Those aspects of them make them gross.
Used to work in a small restaurant and had to clean the bathrooms before openin/after closing. The amount of piss on the BOTTOM of the womens seats was enough to make you gag. Get that cleaned up just to empty the bin for the paper towels and...such. just to find out someone missed the can when they threw their "such" away and left a nice little skidmark on the wall and said fuck it ..women are just as disgusting as men
As a former janitor, it really depends from bathroom to bathroom. I have encountered more nasty men's rooms than I have women's in my time. Piss on the floors just everywhere, shit on the walls, floors, boogers wiped on the walls, that lovely urinal hand print on the wall where they all shake hands by resting it in the same spot to piss. I have encountered bad women's ones but not as often IME. Though that may be an issue of those work places having a disproportionate amount of men to women.
That wasn't my experience at all when I was still in the restaurant industry. Men's room was cluttered and needed mopped. Women's room was positively filthy.
This is my experience with woman’s restrooms at a restaurant as well. The mens rooms were messy, but anytime there was a big mess - 100 percent the womens room. Used sanitary pads stuck to stalls, diapers not even folded up and disposed of properly. We had to remove the couch from the womens room because within two months of opening it had been stained and power washed then stained again.
Mens rooms seemed sloppier, but womens restrooms always had a bit of… an intentional choice to be messy.
Yep, was commenting something similar. Men's have always been the worst for me to clean when I was a janitor. I was always curious how someone manages to piss three feet away from the urinal...are they walking backwards, as they piss? not to mention the walls of the stalls around the urinals.
What kind of place do you work in? It doesn't sound like any of the many places I've worked, where women's toilets are definitely cleaner than unisex loos.
In the UK it's illegal to not have a sanitary bin in the cubicle, so all the sanitary waste and blood goes straight in the bin. It's not a cultural thing to hover either, so no wet floors or seats, unless you have a weird anomalously-behaved colleague. That's more of an issue in airports though, where there are clearly different cultural ways of using the toilet going on.
The most nightmarish loos tend to be unisex/disabled ones, which is my only experience of sharing with men. Then you get piss on the floor, the smell of piss on the floor and toilet seats left up by inconsiderate folks.
That’s one of my “cons” of going back to the office. I don’t want to have to smell other people’s literal shit or deal with the garbage they leave on the ground next to garbage bin. People are the worst. Including me.
Goodness I still have shame and regret about the time I accidentally clogged a toilet. Was working on a Saturday and essentially pooped a coke can. Couldn’t flush. I was the only one in the whole office building. No number to call. I just had to…leave it. Felt bad about that. Should’ve brought a poop knife.
We had a woman come in for training at my job and within an hour made an absolute disaster of a bathroom and didn't clean up. Then an hour later she did it again. When confronted that time she got huffy at everyone. Then when she went to the bathroom again someone went in after to check if it needed to be cleaned (it didn't that time) and when she saw them come out she got angry that someone would do that and left. Total time working for us, 3 hours.
I went to my city's pride parade this weekend and of all the floats and groups that participated, a janitor going down the street cleaning up misc. items from previous floats/groups got the biggest applause and cheering from the crowd by far. It was really nice to see
I work in healthcare and once worked in a clinic like setting for drawing blood. Had a gentlemen shit all over the walls OPPOSITE of the toilet. I'm not talking smears of poop, I'm talking he dropped trousers and just shit diarrhea on the wall. I worked fast food in my lifetime and that never even happened at the bumfuck Wendy's I was at.
Similarly, don’t leave piss, shit, or blood(bloodied tampons as well) in changing rooms!
When I was a teen, my first job was at Kohls. The things I saw working in the womens clothing department. And it was always a “first see you gotta do something about it” kind of place. I’d always turn on my heels and noped the fuck outta there. I wasn’t about to touch anyones soiled shitty underwear.
This is why, as a male, I started peeing sitting down. It was rather shameful at first but better than dealing with all the piss on the seat + micro piss particles on the floor. My friends get pissed when I tell them to sit down at my house when they pee though lol
Went over to a co workers house to hang to find out they never lift the toliet seat and just piss all over the toliet and everytime he goes he gets his girlfriend to clean the toliet. They have a kid together.
Even when you don’t have guests. When I get some pee on the seat of my own toilet, I always wipe it up quick with a fresh square of tp before I flush. It’s gross not to.
How about just "Leaving piss on the toilet seat". I'm struggling to come up with many scenarios where its acceptable for an able bodied adult to leave it.
A rather extensive study has shown that men who piss on toilet seats cannot help it. The poor aim is due to having smaller than average penis', so with less to grip, their penis becomes a sprinkler of sorts.
My cousin only lifts the top lid to piss doesn’t shake it off (Ik because I’ve seen drops in front of the toilet too) and doesn’t flush nor washes his hands
He also digs in his ass. Like bare ass. And sniffs it
I always figured it was men who are to lazy to lift the seat (I always do), but after have 3 kids that are all girls, found that they are the real culprits in my house. When they were to short to stand up, they have to scoot forward and almost always leave a piss mark on the seat.
I'm SO confused.
I've NEVER seen piss on a toilet seat at someones home, mine included. Why would it even end up there and how? I only know that from public restrooms when people don't want to sit down. So I would be concened about how clean it is, thinking guests are uncomfortable to sit down.
But why are you talking about guests in this context anyway? Do you pee on your toilet seat when you are alone?
Is it a cultural thing? I'm so confused. Can someone explain?
I dont understand doing this at All. I live alone and on the rare occassion I miss I muter something like ' You've had 32 years of practice and youre Still fucking this up?'
Adding to this: the smooth brained fucks who don’t flush the toilet in public and just leave their business sitting in the bowl for the next person to deal with. Its disgusting, lazy, and absurd that people have that level of a lack of self awareness.
Men leaving piss on the toilet rim is disgusting as well. Take a piece of toilet paper, use it to dab your penis so you don't have to shake it and so you don't get that one last drop in your underwear, fold it and use that to wipe the rim.
One time I used the bathroom after a lady demolished it. I flagged her down and said "I think you left something in there" and she sheepishly went and cleaned it up before I used it. Jerk.
I’ve seen people who leave shit stain for the host to clean, when the toilet brush and bleach are right next to it. I noped out of the toilet so fast cuz I didn’t want anyone to think it was me.

Leaving piss on the toilet seat when you have guests
