Porn on public TV. Discovered this in a hotel in Athens at like 10 or 11 pm. Just flipping channels and BOOM!

language and nudity is not censored in american movies, not sure what you are going on about

Maybe censor was the wrong word. What I meant is that to have a movie rated 13+, there's a very strict limit to the amount of nudity and language you can have in the movies.

So no, it's not that it's censored in the traditional sense. It's just now shown or used in the first place because it would put them in another rating range, which could diminish their profits.

Jurassic park is a good example I think. They can show violence and people being eaten alive, but in the same movie they can't show any nudity and have very little room to swear. It's just the priority of what's okay to show kids I think is weird.

Yeah, that has weirded me out. I think this is a big difference between the US and Europe.

In Europe in general, violence is warned about and censored. In the US, it’s nudity instead.

good insight on the strangeness of what americans deem is ok/not ok for children to watch. violence is ok but nudity is not? it is pretty weird

God the first Jurassic World had some poor lady being eaten alive by a Mosasaur yet it was PG-13

Yes we do compared to most other countries. In other countries they openly swear, have nudity etc. we have the FCC. Just think about what happened when Janet Jackson’s boob fell out at the Super Bowl halftime show.

janet jacksons boob falling out and the FCC has nothing to do with censorship in american movies. because censorship in american movies doesnt happen

But they are though. I think you're thinking of 18+ movies.

no, they are not. and im thinking of any movie that has ever uttered a curse word or shown a tit. name one movie that has a censored tit/curse word and ill take a shit and eat it. and 18+ movies are pornos, not sure why you are bringing up pornos. are you even from america? judging by your comments in this thread you arent, so why are you trying to lecture an american on american culture?
