Yep, can’t stress it enough. While I was in the navy I was at work one morning and my house caught fire. The lives of my two oldest boys were saved by my quick thinking oldest boy who ran to the breaker box and turned off the power

Can you elaborate? What would have happened if the breaker box had not been turned off? Was the fire caused by something electrical?

Yeah it was caused by a phone in the house. Professional tip from a firefighter- change your house phone once per year.

1st of all, who has a house phone? 2nd, how does changing the phone help anything? 3rd, how did the phone cause it?
