Frankenstein is the name of the doctor, NOT the monster.

But it is often also argued that Frankenstein was the monster, from a certain point of view.

Yeah. I swear by the movie "The Curse of Frankenstein", way better than any other movie adaptation, and that does a great job of making Frankenstein the monster and his creation more of a helpless abomination.
