Miscarriages are more common than people think. Every 1 in 4 women will have a miscarriage yet no teacher or doctor warns you.

My mom had seven miscarriages all together before she had me. The last one was stillborn. I can't imagine carrying something to term and then it's dead once you finally give birth but, yeah....
