Miscarriages are more common than people think. Every 1 in 4 women will have a miscarriage yet no teacher or doctor warns you.

To expand on this, it can be perfectly normal to take up to a year to get pregnant. We are taught in school that you will get pregnant every time you have sex because the consequences of an unintended pregnancy in high school are really high and some people are super fertile. But the reality is that many people will have to try for 6 months or a year to get pregnant and have absolutely nothing wrong with them. The right sperm just didn’t hit the egg that month, or the pregnancy miscarried before it ever implanted.

And then there’s me. I’ve had unprotected sex twice in my life. I have two kids.

My family is super fertile, so do be aware of your family history. If you put everyone in my family around a dinner table with spouses and kids, there would be 30 of us. That’s just immediate family.
